Duty Exemption Schemes

Advanced License is government of India Export Promotion scheme also know as advanced authorization that allows exporters to import components Raw materials and inputs without paying any custom duty, IGST, cess or any other additional duties.

The goal and benefit of it is that the companies can reduce production costs means they can save money on input costs and encourage to make more Indian goods and gain an edge in the global market. There is also transferable option available which gives flexibility to business.

The one thing you need to know is that the finished good you made from the imported material are mandatory to export.

EPCG Authorization (Export Promotion Capital Goods) is a scheme under the Foreign Trade Policy of India aimed at promoting exports by allowing import of capital goods used for producing goods meant for export at reduced or zero customs duty.

The DFIA Scheme (Duty Free Import Authorisation) is an export promotion scheme introduced by the Government of India to encourage exports by allowing duty-free import of inputs required for manufacturing export products

EODC (Export Obligation Discharge Certificate) services refer to the process of obtaining official confirmation from the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) that an exporter has successfully fulfilled their export obligations under export promotion schemes such as Advance Authorization or Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG).

Star Export House Status Certificate/ Status holder certificate

The Star Export House Status Certificate is a recognition granted by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) to Indian exporters who achieve high export performance.This Certificate gives exporters various privileges and incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), helping them expand globally with fewer regulatory burdens.

A SCOMET License is an export authorization issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Government of India, for exporting dual use items i.e., items that can be used for both civilian and military purposes, or have potential for use in weapons of mass destruction

IEC (Import-Export Code)/ IEC certificate

The IEC (Import-Export Code) is a 10-digit business identification number issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in India. It is mandatory by businesses or individuals who want to import or export goods and services from India.

Export Promotion Council ( EPC)

RCMC certifies that a company is registered as an exporter or service provider with the relevant council or board, and is a member of that organization. It’s mandatory for exporters to obtain this certificate to avail benefits under India’s Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).

Certificate of Origin (COO)

A Preferential Certificate of Origin is an official trade document that certifies that goods being exported are of Indian origin and qualify for preferential tariff treatment under a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA), or Regional Trade Agreement (RTA) between India and the importing country.

A Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin is an official document that certifies the country of origin of exported goods but does not qualify the goods for any preferential tariff benefits under Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) or Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs).

Free Sale Certificate

A Free Sale Certificate (FSC) is an official document issued by a government authority or export promotion body that certifies that a product is freely sold and legally marketed in the domestic market (India), and thus is eligible for export to another country.

REX Registration Certificate/REX Certificate

The REX system is used by exporters in certain countries (primarily those in the Generalised Scheme of Preferences, or GSP) to self-certify the origin of their goods for the purpose of claiming preferential tariff treatment when exporting to countries like the European Union (EU), Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey.

e-BRC Generation (Electronic Bank Realisation Certificate)

An End User Certificate (EUC) in the context of DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade, India) is a document used primarily in export and import control procedures.It’s a formal declaration by the final recipient (end user) of certain goods or products.
