The Next-Gen GST Reform – Historic Diwali Gift for Nation (2025)
The GST Council, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, held its 56th meeting on 3rd September 2025 in New Delhi and announced several changes in GST rates.
The government has provided significant relief by reducing GST on many essential and day-to-day items, aligning the rates for the benefit of the public.
These changes came into effect from 22nd September 2025, essentially served as a pre-Diwali gift for the nation.
